In a nutshell your total expected time commitment is 3 hours over 3 weeks: 6x 15min videos to watch while you practice on the simulator (over 2 weeks), 1h for a group get together (on week 3) plus 30min for setting up for each session (please report how much time you actually spend).
We're running weeks starting on Wednesdays and Wed, Fri and Mon I'll release the videos for each session.
Please comment or ask questions through the comments fields below so everyone benefits :)
Without much further ado, below is session 1 - a species counter using MicroBits. It's the material from a course by Park House School in Newbury and I'm sure you will also take away the main things about programming.
You;ll need 2 things

- To actually code, go to the excellent Microsoft (!?!) Makecode for microbit page: https://makecode.microbit.org/
And for reference, a PDF Guide to Download.
